As a preventative treatment, Myofascial Release can help stop the cycle of repetitive trauma due to imbalances in the body.

What does this mean? Our bodies are designed to adapt.  When there are tight and restricted areas that pull your body off of its proper alignment, the body compensates.  Over time living life in that manner sometimes leads to pain conditions.   Usually the sudden pain that happens when just doing a normal activity like bending over to pick up your child, or reaching to the top cabinet, was an accumulation of tension.  Then the “Straw that broke the camel’s back” metaphor basically explains it.   Have no fear though. This is meant to empower you and not to scare you.

MFR is effective in balancing the body, and releasing tight areas that effect performance in sports, dance, any other physical activity and day to day living life. When there are restricted areas of the fascia/muscles, it is possible to hit a “plateau” in you exercise or stretching program.  MFR can help release these restrictions to increase your motion and many times even increase your strength.
