F.A.Q.

Do I need to bring anything?

Please bring a pair of comfortable loose shorts and women will also need a sports bra, tank top, or two piece bathing suit. It’s very important that you do not wear any body lotion, because the I need to be directly on skin without sliding.

What type of payments do you accept?

We accept cash, check, and all Major Credit cards. Please check the rates page for specifics. All initial visits need to be paid ahead of time to secure your appointment either through paypal on the rates page or over the phone.

What if I need to cancel or reschedule an appointment?

Your appointment is specifically for you therefore I require 24 hour notice for cancellations. Those that can’t give 24 hour notice will be charged a fee equal to their scheduled appointment fee.

Do you accept gratuities?

Thanks for the thought but tipping is unnecessary.

What if I am late to my appointment?

Your appointment starts and ends on time so please arrive a few minutes early. If you are late your appointment will still end at the scheduled time so that other appointments can be honored in a timely manner.

How many treatments will I need to feel better?

This is completely individual and something we can talk about when you come in for treatment. Even if you and 10 other people have the same symptoms or diagnoses, you will all present differently. You are different people and your myofascial restrictions are different. They are as unique as a finger print.

Why is self treatment so important?

It is important because:
-It will help you progress faster.
-Gives you the power to treat and prevent future pains yourself.
-Is a wonderful skill for daily self care.  Like brushing your teeth, it is a great habit to have!

What is Retreatment?  (“Retreat” + “Treatment”)

Retreatment is an “intensive” amount of Myofascial Release treatments in one week.  It usually ranges between 10-15 hours of treatment in a week. The purpose is to excel the healing process very quickly. Usually those that have had at least some regular sessions already will sign up for a Retreatment program. Clients who have a variety of pain conditions and movement issues benefit greatly from intensive treatment.   Retreatment is Retreat + Treatment. Clients are encouraged to spend the week focusing on healing without having other obligations or work and instead to “retreat” while they get treatment.  Healing can be intense and a lot happens in a short period of time. Please feel free to ask about our Retreatment Program.
